Metallurgy coke production factory construction With capacity 450,000 ton in year , Producing 32 MW electricity with Wasted thermal energys
Tabas Coke Company (TCCO) registered under number 224709 dated 2004.06.21 in Tehran and with reference to Establishment Permission Number 19.12291824 Dated 2004.10.26 from Ministry of Mines and Industries had been permitted to execute Coke Plant with capacity of 450.000 tons Metallurgical Coke and 32 MW electricity (in first phase).
Company shareholders consist of (IFICO Holding 30%, Legal persons 8%, Legal Companies 62%).
The registered capital of TCCO is equal to 21.500 million Rials.
Tabas Coke Company Projects:
- Metallurgical Coke Plant with capacity of 450,000 tons annually.
- Producing 32 MW electricity from thermal energy.
- Expanding the production of Met Coke to 1.200.000 tons annually. (final phase).
- Producing PVC from Met Coke with capacity of 200.000 tons annually.
- Producing Briquette from wasted raw materials with capacity of 300.000 tons annually against of other natural energy sources like wood.
Performed Activities:
- Finalizing selecting the technology of coke ovens from Indian-Australian-Japanese joint venture Company.
- Signing the EPC contract with Czech Company Hutni Projekt F-M.
- Finalizing local and foreigner sub suppliers.
- Providing and signing civil contract with local contractor (under Czech supervisions).
- Obtaining approval from EDBI Bank for taking loan about 66 million CHF.
- Obtaining all approvals for importing machines and technology.
- Pilot Testing of raw materials in Czech Republic (Ostrava University).
- Industrial Testing of raw materials in India (Sesa Goa Coking Plant).
Metallurgical Coking Plant:
Annually more than 1.5 billion steel produced in the world and about 70% of this amount is produced by blast furnace that require between 45 to 55% metallurgical coke. The users of Coke mostly are blast furnace plants firstly and foundry plants secondly and other users finally.
Tabas Coking plant will establish closed to the biggest coking coal mines called “Parvadeh” and the required coal will supply from this mine.
Accessing to international railway from Bandar Abbas to Iranian northern board and also all closes furnace blast plants are advantages of location of plant.
This selected technology has EPA standard and also work under Kyoto protocol.
The Internal Return Rate of investment (IRR) of plant is 53%.
